Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a method, a source node, a region boundary node and a system for carrying out optimal routing in an inter-region IGP network based on an SR-MPLS flexible algorithm flow. The method includes each of at least two region boundary nodes in the IGP network announces an algorithm-specific metric associated with a destination node to a source node, where the IGP network includes a first region and a second region, the destination node being from a first set of nodes of the first region, and the second region being from a second set of nodes of the second region. The source node comes from a second node set of the second area; the source node computes each inter-region path metric associated with a path to the destination node via a respective region boundary node; and based on each calculated inter-region path metric, the source node determines an optimal path from one of the at least two region boundary nodes to the destination node.
