In order to solve the problem of poor temperature resistance and salt resistance of a polyacrylamide thickening agent, the invention provides a mode of synthesizing a cationic rigid monomer from benzaldehyde and 1, 4-dimethyl pyridine-1-iodination to obtain a monomer integrating hydrophobicity, cation and rigidity, and meanwhile, a strong polar group is embedded into a polyacrylamide molecular chain, so that the temperature resistance and salt resistance of the polyacrylamide thickening agent are improved.
