The invention relates to a network interface, a network interface method and a network node. A network interface controller may include a transceiver coupled to a transmit buffer to transmit messages via a communication medium, and coupled to a receive buffer to store received messages via the communication medium, each of the messages including a source field including a media access control (MAC) address.
