The control method comprises the steps that a first regulation and control stride is obtained according to the deviation of the indoor unit target superheat degree of the air conditioner relative to the indoor unit actual superheat degree; a second regulation and control stride is obtained by combining the deviation of the actual air suction superheat degree of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner relative to the target air suction superheat degree of the outdoor unit and the deviation variation; calculating a total regulation stride based on the first regulation stride and the second regulation stride; and the opening degree of an indoor unit expansion valve of the air conditioner is adjusted based on the total adjustment and control stride.
