Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides an elastic heat regeneration system and method for increasing the variable load rate of a coal-fired power generation unit, and belongs to the field of heat storage peak regulation. The system comprises a steam turbine, a generator, a condenser, a steam extraction pipeline, a steam exhaust pipeline, a first heat regeneration unit, a heat storage tank, a sprayer, a spray water pipeline and a boiler. The generator is connected with the turbine, an inlet of the turbine is connected with an outlet of the boiler, a first outlet of the turbine is connected with a first inlet of the first heat regeneration unit through a steam extraction pipeline, the condenser is arranged between a second outlet of the turbine and a second inlet of the first heat regeneration unit, and an outlet of the first heat regeneration unit is connected with an inlet of the boiler. The sprayer is arranged in the heat storage tank, the spraying water pipeline is connected with the sprayer, an inlet of the heat storage t
