Zusammenfassung: | The present application relates to a method of manufacturing a fiber reinforced spar cap (45) for a wind turbine blade. A plurality of pultruded fiberboards (70) are arranged in a spar cap mold (62) to form a stacked arrangement (69) of pultruded fiberboards (70). The insert parts (86) are arranged proximate to the lateral surface (67) of the stack arrangement (69), where the first insert part (86) comprises a connection surface (87), and where the first insert part (86) is arranged such that its connection surface abuts against the first lateral surface (67) of the stack arrangement (69). Resin is infused into the stacked arrangement (69) and the insert part (86) to form a fiber reinforced spar cap (45) or a preform thereof, which can be tailored to a desired size.
