Multipurpose support

A multipurpose stand adapted to hold a portable electronic device (e.g., a smartphone) in a plurality of different positions is described herein. In certain embodiments, the multipurpose stand includes: a body configured to be selectively attached to a portable electronic device, thereby attaching the multipurpose stand to the portable electronic device; a neck pivotably connected to the body; and a base pivotably connected to the neck portion. The multipurpose bracket is configured to be positioned in a plurality of different positions by pivoting at least a portion of at least one of the body, neck, or base relative to at least another portion of the at least one of the body, neck, or base. The plurality of different positions at least include a closed position and a stand position.
