Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to patient positioning. To facilitate patient positioning, a device is provided that includes an input unit, a processing unit, and an output unit. The input unit is configured to receive an X-ray image of an anatomical structure of interest of a patient obtained from a first image acquisition and a set of target pose parameters describing a target location of the anatomical structure of interest for the image acquisition. The processing unit is configured to detect an anatomical structure of interest in the X-ray image, determine a set of attitude parameters describing a current position of the detected anatomical structure of interest in a first image acquisition, determine a difference between the determined set of attitude parameters and a target set of attitude parameters, and if the difference is equal to or greater than a predefined threshold, constructing a trajectory defining a sequence of sets of pose parameters for bringing the anatomical structure of interest from the current
