The packaged room temperature gas gap sensing element comprises a waterproof and breathable packaging layer a, a gas gap sensitive layer b which is used for measuring gas and gap changes and is of a spiral structure, and a wire base body layer c which is used for leading wires and bearing the packaging layer a and the gas gap sensitive layer b. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing the gas gap sensitive layer b by spraying and preparing the packaging layer a by spin coating; the gas gap sensitive layer b of the spiral structure has an eddy current effect under alternating current excitation and is used for gap change measurement of a metal material component, and the room temperature gas sensitive material of the spiral structure is used for gas measurement at room temperature.
