The invention provides a shock absorption tower and an automobile. The shock absorption tower comprises a tower bag and a supporting side wall. The tower ladle and the supporting side wall are integrally cast and formed; the tower bag is provided with mounting holes connected with the shock absorbers and hollow-out areas used for avoiding the shock absorbers, and the hollow-out areas and the mounting holes are arranged in the width direction of an automobile. The outer surface of the tower bag is also provided with first reinforcing ribs which are radially arranged around the mounting hole; a part of the fourth reinforcing rib extends to the supporting side wall; and a plurality of second reinforcing ribs are arranged on the supporting side wall. According to the shock absorption tower, the tower bag and the supporting side wall are integrally manufactured, the reinforcing ribs are arranged on the tower bag and the supporting side wall to enhance the strength, and meanwhile, the hollow structures for avoiding
