The biological activity of the recombinant human XVII type collagen is not only higher than that of other truncated proteins which are also derived from the human XVII type collagen, but also higher than that of a clinically common hair-increasing and hair-care drug Kopryl. 本专利申请公开了一种具有增发护发功效的重组人XVII型胶原蛋白及其应用。所述重组人XVII型胶原蛋白为人XVII型胶原蛋白的截短蛋白，其氨基酸序列如SEQ ID NO：1所示。所述重组人XVII型胶原蛋白的生物活性不但高于同样来自人XVII型胶原蛋白的其他截短蛋白，甚至高于临床上常用的增发护发药物可比落(Kopyrrol)。
