The preparation method of the hydrated iridium oxide comprises the following steps: stirring and reacting an iridium-containing aqueous solution and an alkali solution under an ultrasonic condition, and aging to obtain the hydrated iridium oxide. Ultrasonic radiation is assisted in the precipitation and aging process, the particle size of precipitation particles is smaller by utilizing the specific ultrasonic cavitation effect of ultrasonic waves, entrainment of alkali metal impurity ions is reduced, the purity of the product is higher, and meanwhile, due to the instantaneous high-temperature and high-pressure conditions provided by the ultrasonic cavitation effect, the product quality is improved.
