A stator includes a back iron extending in a cylindrical shape in an axial direction, a plurality of teeth provided on an inner circumferential surface of the back iron, and a stator coil provided on the plurality of teeth. A plurality of refrigerant flow paths extending in the axial direction to a first end surface of the back iron are arranged in the circumferential direction in a partial range in the circumferential direction of the back iron. The plurality of refrigerant flow paths include a refrigerant flow path located at the uppermost part of the back iron in the vertical direction and a refrigerant flow path located at the lowermost part of the back iron in the vertical direction.
