Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Apparatus for multiplex detection of nucleic acid sequences, comprising: a thermal cycler (4) arranged to perform a series of thermal cycles with an in vitro nucleic acid amplification reagent comprising at least two fluorescent probes binding to a quencher and a fluorophore, the fluorescent probes arranged to each target a different nucleic acid sequence, and the fluorophores are emitted at overlapping fluorescence wavelengths; a light sensor (6) arranged to measure radiation emitted by the fluorophore within the range of fluorescence wavelengths; the radiation emitted by each probe varies depending on whether the latter is in an unaltered state in which the quencher attenuates or substantially does not attenuate the fluorescence emission, or in an altered state in which the quencher has an opposite effect on the fluorescence emission, and an analyzer (8) arranged to, for each respective fluorescence probe, analyze the fluorescence emission of the fluorescence probe.
