The invention discloses an electric energy meter data reading method, which comprises the following steps of: obtaining a PaddleOCR character recognition model specially used for recognizing the degree of an electric meter through preposed specific training, then respectively reading the degrees of the electric meter by adopting the PaddleOCR character recognition model, a 485 communication module and an infrared communication module, and if the degrees of the electric meter read by the three modes are consistent, reading the degree of the electric meter by adopting the PaddleOCR character recognition model, the 485 communication module and the infrared communication module. If yes, the electricity meter reading is used as a final result and is stored together with the corresponding target electricity meter image, so that the purpose of completely and accurately reading the electricity meter reading is achieved, and the accuracy and reliability of metering and billing basic data are effectively ensured; the f
