The embodiment of the invention discloses a commercial vehicle engine thermal management performance evaluation method based on a chassis dynamometer. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining a plurality of engine thermal management parameters; constructing an air-air intercooler cooling efficiency index and a cooling system heat dissipation capability index according to the plurality of engine heat management parameters; and weights are preset for the air-air intercooler cooling efficiency index and the cooling system heat dissipation capacity index respectively, and the commercial vehicle engine heat management performance is evaluated. According to the method, the heat dissipation capability of the air-to-air supercharging intercooling system and the cooling system of the whole vehicle is comprehensively considered, and the performance of commercial vehicle engine heat management is evaluated, so that the allowable environment temperature capability and supercharging intercooling efficiency perf
