Zusammenfassung:	A wireless condition monitoring sensor with near field communication check hardware. A system including a condition monitoring sensor is provided. The condition monitoring sensor includes a first near field communication transponder and a memory. A condition monitoring sensor is attached to the mechanical system and monitors a condition of the mechanical system. The condition monitoring sensor stores a unique sensor identifier within a first near field communication transponder or memory. The system includes an inspection device including a second near field communication transponder. An electrical coupling of the first near field communication and the second near field communication is achieved based on a tapping operation between the condition monitoring sensor and the inspection device. The inspection device performs a query on the condition monitoring sensor via the electrical coupling to obtain the unique sensor identifier.
