Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a kinetic model of motor winding temperature. An electric drive system includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor. A stator of the motor has a winding which is temperature-limited. Winding temperatures in the central section and at the ends of the winding are estimated using a kinetic model. The inputs of these kinetic models include rotor speed, winding current, engine oil flow rate, sump temperature, and ambient temperature.
