According to the process, 70%-90% of Ni60 alloy powder and 10%-30% of tungsten powder are doped to obtain mixed powder, the obtained mixed powder is sprayed to the surface of a pretreated base body through the plasma cladding technology, and the modified nickel-based wear-resistant coating is formed through cladding. The Ni60/W coating is prepared through plasma cladding, a large number of hard phases are separated out from the coating, the hardness and the abrasion resistance are greatly improved, and the performance requirements of the automobile engine piston in the severe working environment can be met.
