Manufacturing the tyre (2) comprises: obtaining an outer profile of the tyre (2) which is asymmetric with respect to a midline plane (Pt) of the tyre (2) itself and which is configured to generate a lateral taper force (Co) between the tyre (2) rotating during straight travel and the ground (S); said outer contour (1) is imparted to the tyre (2) asymmetrically.
