The waveguide (7001) comprises: an input region (7003) configured to couple light into the waveguide (7001) such that light propagates under total internal reflection (TIR) within the waveguide (7001); and an output region (7005) comprising an optical structure configured to receive the image bearing light from the input region (7003).
