The nickel-iron hydroxyl compound nanosheet array electrode comprises mixed crystals of nickel hydroxide and iron oxyhydroxide, wherein the molar ratio of the content of nickel to the content of iron to the content of oxygen is (3-7): (1-2): (3-8). The prepared anode material is of an ordered nanosheet array structure, is high in porosity and large in specific surface area, facilitates exposure of active sites, permeation of electrolyte and overflow of gas products, promotes mass transfer/charge transfer power and improves the current density.
