The method comprises the following steps: (1) crushing multi-metal waste rock to be treated; (2) the crushed ore enters a multi-layer vibrating screen to be screened; (3) the screened ore is sorted, different sorting devices and methods are adopted for different particle fractions, and therefore concentrate and tailings are obtained; (4) ore concentrate is subjected to ore grinding operation; (5) grading the ore grinding pulp; (6) the graded overflow minerals are subjected to flotation operation, and copper concentrate, sulfur concentrate and flotation tailings are obtained through a copper-sulfur mixed flotation separation process; and (7) the flotation tailings are subjected to magnetic separation operation, and iron ore concentrate and tailings are obtained.
