Network assisted location measurement

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for determining a location of a target device within a communication network. Other embodiments relate to a corresponding target device comprising a receiving unit and a radio frequency measurement unit, a base station or location server comprising a selector and a transmitter, and a reference device having configurable properties.
