The invention relates to a battery packaging method which comprises the following steps: covering two opposite side edges of a first surface of a steel foil with an adhesive layer, enabling the first surface of the steel foil to face inwards, rolling and folding the steel foil along the length direction of the adhesive layer, and splicing two edges of the steel foil by welding to form a battery shell with openings at two ends; welding a connecting piece on each of the two tabs of the battery pole core, and arranging adhesive glue on the connecting pieces; the battery pole core is arranged in the battery shell; the openings are sealed, the bonding glue on the connecting piece at the position of at least one opening and the bonding layer on the inner wall of the battery shell are fused to form a sealing layer so as to seal the openings, and the part of the connecting piece and the part of the bonding glue are exposed out of the battery shell.
