An optical module includes a housing, a circuit board, a light emitting device, a light receiving device, and an optical fiber adapter. The light emitting device comprises a laser and an optical circulator; the laser is configured to emit a laser beam. The light receiving device is configured to receive a laser beam. And the optical fiber adapter is optically coupled with a light inlet and a light outlet of the optical circulator, and is configured to send a laser beam from the laser to the outside of the optical module through the optical circulator or send a laser beam from the outside of the optical module to the optical receiving device through the optical circulator.
