Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a camera mounting apparatus for a vehicle. A camera mounting apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed that attaches a camera to the vehicle, isolates the camera from vibration at a mounting point, and accommodates thermal expansion and contraction of the vehicle and mounting structure. The apparatus includes a camera mounting beam coupled to the camera, and one or more elastic vibration isolators coupled to the attachment device and to the camera mounting beam.
