Zusammenfassung: | The present disclosure relates to a method for reducing inrush current to an ungrounded capacitor bank (2) when a switching device (1) is reclosed. The method comprises disconnecting the switching device, the disconnecting switching device comprising interrupting the current of a first phase (R) of the three phases and simultaneously interrupting the current of a second phase (S) and a third phase (T) of the three phases after a predetermined disconnecting time period. The method further includes re-closing the switching device, the re-closing switching device including simultaneously turning on respective currents of the second phase and the third phase, and turning on the current of the first phase after a predetermined closing period of time.
