The invention relates to an image forming apparatus capable of supporting a manual disc at a predetermined angle. The image forming apparatus includes an opening/closing member, an arm, a manual disc, a wire, and a tension mechanism. The opening/closing member can be rotatably supported on the device main body with the lower end portion as the center. The arm restricts an opening angle of the opening/closing member with respect to the device body. The manual disc is supported by the opening/closing member so as to be rotatable about a lower end portion thereof. One end of the metal wire is fixed to the arm, the other end of the metal wire is fixed to the manual disc, and the metal wire supports the manual disc under the condition that the opening and closing component is rotated to the lower part in a state that the manual disc is rotated to the lower part.
