Zusammenfassung:An electronic control unit associated with a vehicle is disclosed. The described techniques address problems related to current secure in-vehicle communication systems that require generation of sub-keys for each encoded data transmission/reception. These encoded data transmission/reception may be based on several different in-vehicle communication protocols, and the requirement for "instant" generation of subkeys for such protocols may lead to significant processing overhead and delay. Embodiments provided herein address the problem of subkey generation by pre-computing and storing subkeys to be used for future encoded data message transmission/reception using a predetermined function.
