Electronic circuit integration of smart glasses for augmented reality applications

An apparatus is provided that includes a frame and an eyepiece. The eyepiece includes a front glass, a rear glass, and an active element sandwiched between the front glass and the rear glass. The active elements are electrically activated via interconnects by a flexible circuit enclosed between the top of the frame and the cover, the flexible circuit including a memory and a processor.
