Zusammenfassung: | Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for imaging tissue. A system is provided for imaging tissue during application of a variable pressure to the tissue that causes deformation or movement of the tissue. The optical imaging system includes a light source, static optics, and at least one light detector. The distance between the optical imaging system and the tissue may vary depending on deformation or movement of the tissue such that different portions of the tissue are within a depth of field of the imaging system at different times during application of the variable pressure. The captured images are processed to construct a combined image comprising different portions of the tissue. In other words, instead of scanning the optical imaging system over the area or volume of the tissue, pressure-induced movement of the tissue is used to provide an alternative to the scanning of the imaging system.
