The invention relates to a method for filling a toner cartridge, which comprises the following steps of: (a) taking a toner container containing toner, the toner container is provided with a first end and a second end which are opposite to each other, and a toner outlet is formed at the first end of the toner container; (b) taking a toner cartridge, wherein one end of the toner cartridge is provided with an opening, and the toner cartridge is sleeved from the first end of the toner container to the second end of the toner container through the opening; (c) forming a ventilation opening at the second end of the powder container; (d) the toner container is drawn out from the interior of the toner cartridge, and the toner in the toner container is separated from the toner container from the toner outlet and is left in the toner cartridge; and (e) closing the opening of the toner cartridge by using a cover piece.
