The invention discloses a catalytic wet oxidation catalytic material and a preparation method thereof.The catalytic wet oxidation catalytic material takes acid modified montmorillonite loaded with copper oxide and optional nano ferrous sulfide as a matrix layer, the outer surface of the matrix layer is wrapped with an active layer, and the active layer is aluminum oxide loaded with nano ferrous sulfide; the matrix layer and the active layer are of a core-shell structure; on the basis of the weight of the catalytic wet oxidation catalytic material, the weight of the copper oxide is 2-10% of the weight of the catalytic material, and the weight of the nano ferrous sulfide is 5-20% of the weight of the catalytic material. The invention also provides a preparation method of the catalytic wet oxidation catalytic material.
