A mouthpiece device for fitting inside the mouth of a user and carrying an array of flexible, protruding cleaning elements for performing oral cleaning functions at multiple locations around the mouth simultaneously. The surface (s) of the mouthpiece device carrying the cleaning element also carry spacer elements protruding from the surface in substantially the same direction as the cleaning element.
