The aerosol-generating device includes a button and at least one light source. The button has an outer side facing an exterior of the aerosol-generating device and an inner side facing an interior of the aerosol-generating device. The button is configured to be pressed in a pressing direction. At least one light source is disposed within the aerosol-generating device. The button includes a button body and a button light guide embedded in the button body.
