The embodiment of the invention provides an irradiation container for isotopes and a method for packaging the isotopes in the irradiation container. The irradiation container for the isotopes comprises a container body with an upper opening and a cover plate used for sealing the opening, and the cover plate is used for being welded with the container body so as to jointly form a containing cavity used for containing the isotopes. The radial outer side end face of the cover plate is used for being welded to the peripheral wall of the opening. A through hole is formed in the middle of the cover plate, and after the radial outer side end face of the cover plate is welded to the peripheral wall of the opening, the through hole is closed.
