The method is characterized by comprising the steps of selecting a main center city and auxiliary center cities; selecting support elements of the development process of the main center city and the auxiliary center city; representing spatial characteristics of collaborative development of the main center city and the auxiliary center city by using spatial elements; identifying the spatial evolution trend of the main center city and the auxiliary center city, and judging the development stages of the main center city and the auxiliary center city; evaluating space element development levels of the main center city and the auxiliary center city, and analyzing a driving mechanism of each space element for collaborative development of the main center city and the auxiliary center city according to an evaluation result; an association network of the main center city and th
