The activating agent of the bone morphogenetic protein-2 is levistilide A. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the bone morphogenetic protein-2. The inventor team concludes, analyzes and summarizes a large amount of test data in the early stage to find that the activator levistilide A of the bone morphogenetic protein-2 has good biocompatibility, and the levistilide A can promote the expression of BMP-2 protein in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Based on the theoretical basis, the inventor team creatively adds levistilide A into the culture medium for osteogenic induced differentiation of the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, and the osteogenic differentiation degree of the bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells is remarkably improved.
