The invention relates to the field of glass fiber cloth manufacturing and production, in particular to glass fiber cloth and a preparation method thereof.The preparation method comprises the steps that S1, the surfaces of glass fibers are coated with a polyacrylonitrile solution, and after coating is completed, drying is conducted to obtain polyacrylonitrile-glass fibers; s2, carbonizing the polyacrylonitrile-glass fiber to obtain a carbon-based nanofiber-glass fiber; s3, placing the carbon-based nanofiber-glass fiber in an etching solution for etching to obtain a reinforced glass fiber; s4, twisting the reinforced glass fibers to obtain yarns, and weaving the yarns to obtain basic glass fiber cloth; and S5, immersing the basic glass fiber cloth in the impregnating compound for 2-3h, then taking out the basic glass fiber cloth, extruding the redundant impregnating compound on the basic glass fiber cloth, and discharging bubbles to obtain the glass fiber cloth. The glass fiber cloth prepared by the preparation
