The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a series of images of a circular marker fixed on a monitored building, and identifying the circumference of the circular marker in the series of images; selecting feature points from the circumference, and determining intersection point coordinates based on the feature points; and comparing the coordinates of the intersection point with the coordinates of the reference point, and determining a building deformation monitoring result based on a comparison result. Whether the monitored building deforms or not is judged based on the coordinates of the intersection point in the circle center marker and the coordinates of the reference point, the building deformation monitoring cost is reduced, and the building deformation monitoring accuracy is improved.
