Hardware-implemented pipelined database query processing

An apparatus for applying database commands to one or more database tables includes a memory (24) and a hardware-implemented pipeline (10, 170). The hardware-implemented pipeline includes one or more table processing circuitry (12) and is configured to receive a series of input records extracted from one or more database tables, parse a first record from the input records into a key and one or more fields other than the key, and send the first record to the one or more database tables.
