MEMORY CONTROLLER FOR STORAGE LEVEL MEMORY (SCM) SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SCM SYSTEM

In one embodiment, a memory controller for a storage class memory (SCM) system is provided, the SCM system including a plurality of storage nodes. In addition, the memory controller is configured to be operably connected to the plurality of storage nodes, the plurality of storage nodes are divided into at least one proxy partition and one base partition, and the base partition further comprises a persistent memory (PM) storage node. The memory controller is further configured to receive a write request from a client and execute the write request through one of the storage nodes of the proxy partition. Further, the storage node of the proxy partition performs the write request on the base partition, and maintains a playback database in the base partition.
