Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the field of electric power communication, in particular to a communication optical cable fault positioning terminal which comprises a shell, a walking mechanism, an optical detection mechanism and a vibration detection mechanism. The walking mechanism is arranged in the shell and used for being connected with the optical cable and driving the shell to move in the extension direction of the optical cable; the light detection mechanism is also arranged in the shell, and the light detection mechanism is used for irradiating the surface of the optical cable with continuously changing illumination intensity when the shell moves in the extension direction of the optical cable; and the vibration detection mechanism is also arranged in the shell and is used for knocking the optical cable to generate regular vibration waves when the shell moves along the extension direction of the optical cable and detecting whether the vibration waves can be normally propagated along the optical cable or not
