Exploration and visualization of laboratory data

A system for analyzing data obtained from a laboratory experiment includes a processor, a memory, and program code that causes the system to execute: store values of experiment parameters for executing the experiment; storing results from the experiment; storing information about an instrument operating the experiment; storing environment conditions of an operation experiment; placing a protocol object or protocol information representing an experiment, a sample for operating the experiment and an instruction for executing the experiment in a queue; in response to the execution of the experiment, deleting the protocol object or the protocol information from the queue; linking the instructions to the sample, the instrument, the sensor, and the tracking device; and instructions to dynamically change, by the computer, the generated update in response to any change in the sample, instrument, sensor, or tracking device; a visual representation of the stored results is selected based on a reference data point selec
