Zusammenfassung: | The present invention generally relates to a flame arrester apparatus configured to reduce the hazard of thermal runaway by containing sparks and molten particles discharged from a battery cell as well as a cooling gas. The apparatus may be used in any device requiring a lithium ion battery unit, such as a data center, a smartphone, a tablet computer, an earplug, and the like. The apparatus may include a mesh screen and a baffle. The mesh screen may include a plurality of mesh layers offset from each other. The baffle plate can form a herringbone shape and is fixed on the inner side of the mesh screen.
