Injectable composition

An injectable composition is disclosed. Such compositions may be formed from cellulosic fibers and a deep eutectic solvent. Also disclosed is a method of making an injectable composition comprising: (i) contacting a cellulosic fiber with a eutectic solvent to provide a eutectic solvent treated cellulosic fiber; (ii) washing the eutectic solvent treated cellulosic fibers; and (iii) homogenizing or mechanically refining the washed deep eutectic solvent treated cellulosic fibers, thereby providing the injectable composition.
