Provided is a fuel cell system having a fuel cell stack to which a reaction gas is supplied and which generates power by an electrochemical reaction of the reaction gas. The fuel cell system includes: a supply channel that supplies a reaction gas to a fuel cell stack; a discharge passage for delivering exhaust gas discharged from the discharge outlet of the fuel cell stack; a bypass passage communicating between the supply passage and the discharge passage; a cooling passage provided in the discharge passage and having fins to condense water in the exhaust gas; and a circulation pump provided in the bypass passage and circulating the exhaust gas discharged from the discharge passage to the supply passage when the fuel cell system is stopped.
