The positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery includes lithium metal oxide particles including a Ti or V doped core containing a lithium iron phosphate-based compound, and a carbon coating layer formed on the core. The ratio of the intensity of a peak corresponding to PO4 to the intensity of a D band of the positive electrode active material measured by Raman spectroscopy has a predetermined range.
