The method comprises the following steps: extracting current target recognition results of various sensors in an intelligent driving system; matching the identification results to generate a target matching set and a historical matching set; retrieving a target matching set and a historical matching set, obtaining a current frame matched target corresponding to each matching target and category information corresponding to a historical matching target, and forming evidence information; updating the weight corresponding to each matching target in each sensor; and performing information fusion calculation by using an evidence reasoning (ER) algorithm to obtain confidence information of each category corresponding to each matching target, thereby obtaining a target category fusion result.
